About us

Who are we?

We are a diverse family of people who share a common faith in Jesus Christ, as our Savior and Lord.

Our Vision

It is our vision to join in God's work to transform lives, beginning with our neighbors in Muldoon and growing to other Anchorage communities and beyond.

Our Purpose

*        LOVE CHRIST       *        LOVE OUR CHURCH        *         LOVE OUR COMMUNITY       *

These are in obedience to:

The Great Commandment

  • Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."

The Great Commission

  • Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

And are the proof of our identity in Christ:

  • John 13:35 - "By this will all people know you are my disciples, that you love one another."

What We Believe

We stick to the basics:

  • We affirm the centrality of the Word of God.

  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth in Christ.

  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.

  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.

  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.

These affirmations are held in common with our Evangelical Covenant Church family across Alaska, North America and our mission partners across the world.

Why do we meet in a school?

1. We love this school, its staff, the students and their families. As a formal School-Business Partner, we are blessed to serve and love them in Jesus' name.

2. We believe this is a good use of our resources. We use the school when we need a large space (eg Sunday services) and we use our Unity Center (just 2 blocks away) for activities and ministry to the community during the week.
